Purpose: To provide instruction in Culinary, Beverage and Hospitality Management oriented courses, including lecture and lab components. Continuing Education instructors are responsible for planning and instructing non-credit classes to the general population, ages 16 and older, throughout the Central Oregon Community College district. Non-credit classes vary widely in the number of hours and course sessions.

â€¢ This position is limited duration to be filled on course-by-course need, is non-benefited, and non-exempt hourly.

|Physical Demands and Other Ergonomic Requirements:|| |
Work is performed primarily indoors, in a classroom setting. The incumbent is expected to follow College work rules and policies. The employee is regularly required use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Physical movements involve guiding, feeding materials into proper position. Lifting objects vary daily, up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb or pull self upward, kneel, stoop, crawl and crouch. Computer screen is used approximately 10 percent of the time. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

This is a PT Instructor position for the Continuing Education Department at COCC. This position is part-time, non-benefited, and hired on a term-by-term basis.
Part-time instructor pools are posted for the term to obtain applications from those interested in teaching part-time as a non-benefited instructor, on a term-by-term basis, in the area of discipline advertised.
