Position/Rank and Salary: The Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the sociology of Health and Well-Being. Salary is very competitive, with a typical teaching load of two courses per semester.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in sociology, or related social science discipline at the time of appointment is required. We are seeking candidates with an active research agenda, evidence of scholarly productivity, and a commitment to exceptional teaching. Successful applicants’ scholarship will be in the area of sociology of health and well-being. Preferred applicants should contribute to departmental strengths in the areas of community, crime, or inequality/stratification.
