About the Program:
Pierce College is rapidly becoming a recognized leader in Homeland Security Emergency Management (HSEM) education, offering an online HSEM Certificate, Associate's degree, and a cohort-structured Bachelors of Applied Science degree. The Pierce-HSEM Program is also unique in that it partners with multiple colleges throughout the State of Washington to offer its Associate's degree in one system, which creates statewide and regional networks that assist students in gaining employment in a myriad of HSEM positions, including the public, private sector, non-profit, and international aid and humanitarian assistance arenas. The Pierce-HSEM program is run by experienced and nationally-renowned homeland security and emergency management leaders and practitioners. Over eighty percent (80%) of the professors and instructors in the program are graduates of the prestigious National Emergency Management Advanced Academy (NEMAA) and bring with them years of real-world experience that benefits each student along their journey.
This position reports to the Dean of Health and Technology.
This position requires the ability to maintain availability on campus during scheduled office hours, attend necessary division, and department meetings.
