Job Summary/Purpose:

Serve as the Chief Executive Council Officer.

Essential Functions:

1. Chief executive officer & chair of council meetings
2. Acts as official spokesperson for COCC students on campus and in the community
3. Responsible for working with the council on the administration of programs
4. Initiates the annual budget planning process
5. Develops a yearly plan for council initiatives and student needs within 60 days of being elected
6. Establish expectations and goals for the council and evaluate the council’s performance twice yearly
7. Abide by all sections of ASCOCC’s Constitution, By Laws, and Policies and Procedures.
8. Be able to function effectively in an office environment.
9. Regularly attend ASCOCC Council Meetings and Quorums.
10. Represent the Students of COCC ethically, responsibly, and equally.

Working hours are regular per the established work schedule. Computer screen is used more than 50 percent of the time. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. ASCOCC will accommodate ADA requirements to perform job duties
