Job Summary/Purpose:

Assist classified staff. faculty and students. Assist with handing out books and supplies for students . Act as assistants in the Welding and Machining Labs.

Terms of Employment:
• This is a part-time (<.50 FTE) Federal Work Study position
• Requires flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends as well as travel throughout the district when needed.
•Must have been awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2018-19
•Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
• Upon hire, must pass criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered.

Job Location is on the Redmond Campus.

Essential Functions:

Assist Classified Staff and Faculty in preparing and distributing class and lab materials (sample parts, ravi: materials, and welding rod) from the various lab supply cabinets, lockers and secure rooms in the MATC. Perfonn minor clerical duties including checking students in/out of lab spaces, checking
classroom materials in/out of the curriculum room, observing and reporting lab safety issues. Other duties as assigned. Work is typically scheduled during peak MATC hours 10AM-3PM but is flexible dependent upon students class schedule and lab usage traffic

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Student should have basic mechanical aptitude, ability to perform minor clerical duties, and
understand MATC policies and procedures.

Physical Demands and Other Ergonomic Requirements:

Work is typically performed standing.
Must be able to safely lift 501bs.

4. Be enrolled as a student in a Manufacturing program at COCC
