Job Summary/Purpose:

Support department faculty with grading papers and assignments. General office clerk duties.


Terms of Employment:
• This is a part-time (<.50 FTE) Federal Work Study position
• Requires flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends as well as travel throughout the district when needed.
•Must have been awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2018-19
•Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
• Upon hire, must pass criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered


Job Location is on the Bend Campus.


Essential Functions:

• Support department faculty and students as directed
• Responsible for grading papers
• Provide general office clerk duties
• Record, label and track stocked items
• Responsible for washing used transparencies for recycling, testing of math equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The incumbent is expected to follow College work rules and policies.


1. Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using the English language with or without the use of an interpreter.
2. Able to identify discrepancies or inaccuracies
3. Must have the ability to work independently.
4. Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude while handling multiple tasks and meeting scheduling deadlines.
5. Able to provide quality, accurate customer service, assisting customers in receiving accurate and timely information.
6. Ability to multi-task and be flexible with changing duties and tasks.
7. Ability to work cooperatively with and contribute to a diverse workplace through ideas or experience.
8. Ability to learn quickly and to work with a variety of detailed, time-sensitive information.
9. Must possess effective problem solving abilities.
10. Excellent computer skills, including Windows environment and MS Office.
11. Must be able to work with Continuing Education staff, College staff and community members in a collaborative manner and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.


Physical Demands and Other Ergonomic Requirements:

Working hours are regular per the established work schedule. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature with the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. Computer is used 50 percent of the time. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successfully pass a background check.

Special Qualifications:

• MTH 95 or higher would be preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft office suites software
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
