Job Summary/Purpose:

Patrol campus parking lots by foot to ensure student/faculty/staff/visitor compliance with existing parking rules and regulations.


Terms of Employment:
• This is a part-time (<.50 FTE) Federal Work Study position
• Requires flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends as well as travel throughout the district when needed.
•Must have been awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2018-19
•Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
• Upon hire, must pass criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered.


Job Location is on the Bend Campus.


Essential Functions:

1. Maintain detailed communications with dispatching personnel, using two-way radios or cell phones.
2. Write various warning and violation citations for vehicles not in compliance with existing parking rules and regulations.
3. Work closely with the cadet program in enforcing parking lot regulations.
4. Observe and reports areas or conditions on the campus that could create hazards. This may include but not be limited to missing signs and/or inoperable streetlights.
5. Take photographs of violations.
6. Locate counterfeit, transferred, or altered parking permits.
7. Setup and remove various traffic control devices including barricades and/or temporary signs.
8. Input citations and warnings issued into the Banner system.
9. Fill out a daily log of citations/warnings issued.
10. Provide directions or other information to faculty, staff, students or visitors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of and experience with filing and organization
• Experience with and have good computer skills.
• Must have good customer service skills.
• Ability to do different tasks daily.

4. Successfully pass a background check.

Special Qualifications:

• Enrolled in the Criminal Justice Program
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Computer Literacy: Training in, or experience with, email, internet, word processing, and spreadsheets (preferably experience with MS Office Suite Products).
