VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION
Department: Curriculum and Instruction
This is a temporary position. The primary focus is to develop and teach on-line courses in Guidance Counseling. Other graduate and undergraduate courses in the field of education may be assigned as the faculty member's experience and qualifications warrant.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to, developing and teaching on-line courses utilizing Blackboard as the delivery software, maintaining on-campus office hours, recruiting, academic advising, and community service. The faculty member will serve on several departmental, college, and university committees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The successful candidate will have a strong educational computer technology background. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and Blackboard are essential to the job. Some travel is required.
The candidate must have earned a Doctorate in Educational Psychology or equivalent from a regionally accredited university. Two or more years experience at an educational institution is highly preferred. Experience in college teaching and development of on-line courses is preferred.
This faculty position is at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. The faculty member MUST be in residence. This is not a Distance Education position.
