Job Description:
The College of Engineering is seeking candidates interested in a part-time position as a Student Activities Liaison. The incumbent will provide oversight of the Engineering Tutoring Center (ETC) and the Engineering Leadership Council (ELC). This position reports the Administrative Assistant IV in the Dean's Office. For the ETC: maintain a presence within the ETC to provide leadership and support; create and maintain the Tutors schedules; provide front desk support as needed. For the ELC: oversee monthly meetings, provide food and room setup, notify AAIV of any issues that need to be brought to the Dean's
attention; maintain Blog and Facebook pages regarding student club events, meetings, etc; supervise Engineer's Week and Brawl activities. This position is approximately 20 hours a week and requires a flexible schedule, takes one month off during winter closure, and work a variable part-time schedule during summer months; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.

The Engineering Tutoring Center offers free, drop-in peer tutoring specifically for engineering courses.

The Engineering Leadership Council aims to promote the College of Engineering and the engineering profession through a cohesive group of current engineering student leadership. Our main function is to promote engineering outreach on Campus through our annual Engineer's Week in February. This group serves as a central and interdisciplinary network for the engineering student groups and professional societies on campus, allowing these groups to more effectively cooperate, coordinate, and take advantage of the unified resources offered by the University and the College.

The region offers an array of festivals and cultural activities including museums and performing arts centers.
