Research Coordinator

Hudson County Community College

Hudson County Community College, a fast-growing mid-sized urban community college, is searching for a full-time Research Coordinator.  Reporting to the Associate Dean of Research and Planning, the Research Coordinator will provide support with reports, surveys and analysis.

Responsibilities: Federal, state and other regulatory higher education reports and surveys; Conducting research and analysis to respond to internal and external data requests; Compiling the institution’s Fact Book and writing other timely reports as needed; Administering and coordinating responses to routine and ad-hoc college-wide surveys.  The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, the role of a comprehensive community college in an urban, multi-cultural setting.  Will perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in social science, business, statistics or related discipline plus two or more years of effective experience in extracting, analyzing and reporting data.  Experience in a college setting strongly preferred.  Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Access.  Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with Business Objects and have experience using statistical package such as SPSS.  Candidates must display strong analytical/problem solving skills, great attention to detail and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Prior experience preferred.  Prior experience with Ellucian (formerly Datatel) or other higher education software and Institutional Research is preferred.
