Recruits top talent in the marketplace through existing and new, whether local or national, sourcing methods and attends all viable job fairs/or networking events. Conducts proactive searches using creative and cost-effective sourcing methods to recruit for exempt and non-exempt positions. The Recruiter guides hiring officials and search committees through the full recruitment cycle. Develops and maintains internal and external client relationships. Develops training programs related to the full recruitment cycle and educates faculty and staff regarding HR guidelines, policies, and procedures.
|Required Qualifications|| |
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
One to three years of professional experience working closely with hiring managers and executing and delivering full life cycle of recruiting activities with proven results.
|Preferred Qualifications|| |
Experience recruiting in a higher education environment and experience with EEO/AA laws and regulations.
Experience recruiting for multiple positions in various disciplines.
Experience utilizing a variety of sourcing strategies, including social media, to recruit highly qualified, and diverse talent.
Experience using applicant tracking software.
PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.

|Essential Job Duties|| |
Consults with hiring officials to understand departmental hiring requirements and assess recruiting need(s).
Develops recruiting plans to attract top talent in consultation with department, committees, or other appropriate hiring authorities; makes recommendations for best strategy.
Promotes diversity throughout the university. Uses appropriate sourcing techniques to reach passive and active candidates that assist in meeting Affirmative Action Plan goals.
May attend meetings, job/career fairs and other networking events to appropriately market FGCU and attract qualified candidates.
Coordinates all aspects of search and hiring process with appropriate hiring contact.
Facilitates committee and panel search and interview processes.
Trains campus community on search process particularly with respect to relevant employment laws.
Participates in evaluation of recruitment and selection strategies and makes appropriate recommendations for change as needed.
Manages the full life-cycle of the recruitment process to ensure adherence to all equal employment opportunity (EEO, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements. Maintains necessary records related to recruitment activities.
Prepares reports on recruitment and selection activities. Develops metrics to monitor recruitment process. Develops plans to meet recruitment goals/metrics.
Collaborates in the development of university personnel regulations and recommends policies and procedures applicable to the Human Resource employment services and recruitment functions.
Advises and trains university employees regarding assigned functional areas. Advises and instructs departmental representatives of all legal and procedural requirements related to the assigned areas.
Implements procedures to produce effective and efficient management of the university’s recruitment and hiring processes. Provides recommendations for the development of the Human Resource functions, proactively seeking new opportunities for web communication and user-friendly options.

The recruiter position is a temporary, non-benefit earning, part-time position; approximately 29 hours per week.
