Program Coordinator, Online Programs

PURPOSE: This position supports the Director of Online programs for smooth and efficient delivery of an MBA education to students participating in Pepperdine's Online MBA Program in the Graziadio School of Business and Management (GSBM).

DUTIES: Manage the day-to-day administration of Online Programs for student acquisition, program operations, student management, and student/faculty relations and service; act as a liaison for the Admissions and Student Services departments; respond to student inquiries regarding issues related to the administration of the program; monitor quality assurance controls; maintain records of program policies and procedures; provide administrative support to instructors as needed; communicate admission, registration, and graduation requirements to students; provide technical/multimedia support to instructors and students for smooth and efficient operations; participate in Student Orientation facilitation and communication through Sakai and Yammer; manage, plan, and oversee all aspects of on-campus residency requirements for students, in conjunction with instructor requirements; coordinate admissions/registration using established guidelines; coordinate with the external vendor to address all operational issues, academic policies, and procedures; collaborate with the external vendor to identify at-risk students to be referred to Lead Faculty; communicate the annual academic calendar including: admission, registration deadlines, and graduation requirements to the external vendor; participate in weekly cross-functional team meeting via phone; uphold University mission through work performed; other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required; five years experience in organizational settings required; ability to organize and arrange work and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines required; strong written and verbal communication skills required; excellent customer service orientation required; ability to work effectively with diverse groups at all levels of an organization required; strong problem-solving skills required; attention to detail and focus on quality required; advanced computer skills required; expertise with Microsoft Office and web applications required; ability to use a copier, printer, and scanner required; reliable transportation required; a sense of humor a plus; seeking or in the process of obtaining an MBA preferred; working knowledge of all GSBM graduate student systems, processes, and procedures preferred; knowledge of trends in the field, such as distant education, course management, social software, collaboration software, and learning objectives preferred; ability to create multimedia assets for instructional purposes preferred; expertise with Yammer, Sakai, Google Docs, Voicethread, Join.Me, Vimeo, and Elluminate preferred.
