MATHEMATICS FULL TIME, TENURE TRACK FACULTY

Harper College is currently accepting applications for three full-time, tenure-track faculty positions to teach courses offered by the Department of Mathematical Sciences. This may include courses at the developmental level and courses in the areas of statistics and math education. Primary responsibilities are for teaching a minimum of 15 contact hours per week while maintaining a minimum of 10 office hours per week for student consultation.  Participation in institutional, divisional, and departmental committees, meetings and other activities is expected.

Requirements:

  • At least a Master's degree in mathematics or equivalent with at least 18 semester hours in graduate-level mathematics. Master's degree in mathematics with 30 semester hours in graduate-level mathematics is preferred and is required to teach courses numbered above 124, which includes the calculus sequence.
  • Mathematics teaching experience at the secondary or collegiate level is required.  The teaching requirement may be fulfilled through a program of supervised teaching as a graduate student.
