Great Basin College is recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Repair Worker 3 for its campus in Ely, Nevada. This position performs complex, semi-skilled level repair and maintenance work for buildings and grounds. The incumbent will be responsible for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, welding, heating, refrigeration and air condition, and equipment mechanics; grounds and landscaping maintenance; diagnosis of the cause and extent of common equipment; component or basic system malfunctions; and proper safety protocols. Additional, the incumbent will perform custodial duties to include vacuuming and shampooing carpets, dusting, mopping and waxing floors; sanitizing restrooms, tables, and countertops; maintaining supply inventory; and other duties as assigned.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

Two years of experience performing semi-skilled work in a relevant building and/or mechanical trade; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Experience Requirements:• This position requires having a valid driver’s license at time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
