The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Library Assistant 2 position for the Libraries. The incumbent will work as a member of the Library Services department, serving primarily as a campus operator. Duties are to assist callers via phone with locating individuals, departments and services of the university; follow-up on problems; share information; and assist with campus directory services. The position also maintains the department equipment inventory and assists with other department projects as assigned.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of library or clerical experience which included providing customer service; OR six months of experience as a Library Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.• This position requires excellent customer service at all times.
