The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a non tenure-track lecturer position. The Department is seeking an individual with the dedication and commitment to teaching necessary to provide a high-quality education to its student body. Responsibilities will consist primarily of teaching design and laboratory-based courses in solid mechanics and thermofluid sciences at the undergraduate level, but opportunities exist for developing new courses and teaching at the graduate level. The mechanical engineering curriculum is based on a design-build-test methodology and experience in this area is beneficial. The successful candidate would also be involved in advising undergraduate students, service and outreach activities, and actively participating in continuing efforts to improve the department's educational mission.

Minimum Qualifications (Required): Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related disciplines.

Other Considerations:Registration as a Professional Engineer and/or relevant industrial experience would be desireable
-Record of successful teaching experience at the college level
-Earned Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline preferred
