St. Edward's University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in Accounting to begin in August 2014. The position on the faculty of the School of Management and Business will be filled at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with salary depending on qualifications and experience. Teaching responsibilities will include Accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Teach four courses per semester, two semesters per year Interact with local, regional, national, and international business, nonprofit, government, and community representatives to develop applied service learning projects and study opportunities for students Develop new courses and curriculum as needed Collaborate in the assessment of the Accounting curricula student learning outcomes Continue development of expertise in teaching content areas and pedagogy Continue record of research and publications/presentations Participate in School of Management and Business and University projects, events, and committee assignments Fulfill other required faculty responsibilities as outlined in the St. Edward's University Faculty Manual

Ph.D. in Accounting or Master's degree with active currently-licensed CPA required Substantial and progressively responsible industry and/or consulting and/or individual practice experience required Prior teaching experience and course design in areas of Financial and Managerial Accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels required Record of scholarly research and publications/presentations Excellent written and spoken English communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required
