Teach undergraduate courses in Introductory Animal Science, Livestock Selection and Evaluation, and Livestock Handling.
Serve as contact for and coordinator of ASU Intercollegiate Judging teams.
Engage in customary research and service.
Position will include teaching undergraduate courses in Introductory Animal Science, Livestock Selection and Evaluation, and Livestock Handling. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with ASU Intercollegiate Livestock Judging team and coordinate judging activities for the collegiate wool and meats judging teams. In addition, the candidate will be expected to work closely with the existing departmental recruiting program, serve as an advisor for the Block and Bridle Club, and collaborate on research projects with the other animal science faculty. This person will also be the contact for all judging activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. The candidate must also have experience in working with judging teams, must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and have the ability to communicate with industry leaders and the general public.
Master of Science degree in Animal Science with experience coaching livestock judging teams.
