FACULTY POSITION IN PSYCHOLOGY

POSITION                               

Tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Psychology; begins August 2013.

RESPONSIBILITIES     

The B.S. in Applied Psychology Program provides students a theoretical and applied education and has two concentrations: Rural/Community and Industrial/Organizational.  The successful candidate will teach a range of courses in the program and must have a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.  S/he will share responsibility for oversight and administration of external clinical instruction in the program.

Faculty expectations also include student advisement, assessment, service, scholarship, and professional development. Teaching assignments may be weekday, evenings, weekend, and online.

QUALIFICATIONS                   

Ph.D. in Psychology.  ABD at time of application with terminal degree completed by December 31, 2013 will also be considered.  Candidates with a specialty in rural community or industrial organization are preferred.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success.  Qualifications shall include breadth of background that will insure flexibility in teaching in both program concentrations.
