The College of William & Mary seeks a creative and student-centered professional for the position of Associate Director for Diversity Education in the Center for Student Diversity. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Students & Director, the Associate Director provides leadership to the Center’s Diversity Education initiatives by developing and implementing programs that engage students in meaningful dialogue with individuals different from themselves and foster development of skills for constructive interpersonal and cross-cultural interactions. In addition, the Associate Director provides leadership and training for diversity training teams of students, faculty, and staff, including recruitment and supervision of student Diversity Peer Educators; coordinates the Center’s LGBTQ outreach and support initiatives; and provides general student support services to undergraduate and graduate/professional students. In addition, the Associate Director supervises one graduate assistant and shares supervision responsibilities with the Director for 3-4 student assistants.

The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited institution.  The candidate must also have, at least, 3 years of experience providing support services to students from underrepresented/under-served populations, specifically students of color and/or LGBTQ students. Previous experienced coordinating diversity education initiatives preferred.
