Assistant Registrar for Technology and Reporting Advising and Registration

Champlain College seeks an analytic and detail-oriented self-starter to become a key member of the Registrar's Office staff. Be responsible for the integrity of student data, implementation of process improvements, and making recommendations to improve service by leveraging technology. Promote and implement the effective and efficient use of information technology and resources to ensure accurate data standards. Export data to the National Student Clearinghouse, set-up registration processes, and communications to students regarding registration and produce grade mailers each term.

A bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination is required. Strong computer skills including MS Office, experience with Datatel/Ellucian or similar student information system, and a high level of proficiency with relational databases required. Experience in higher education in a Registrar’s office is preferred.

A successful candidate must develop a deep understanding of the data, and be able to communicate and advise the Registrar and campus leaders on a wide variety of issues related to optimum utilization of the student information system.   Create and produce accurate and timely reports on student data and course data for use throughout the College. Provide ongoing training to staff and faculty, supporting them in the creation and interpretation of their own reports. Successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
