The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in mathematics beginning August 2013. Duties include teaching at the undergraduate and master's level, research, and professional service.
We seek applicants with a commitment to excellence in teaching, the ability to inspire and mentor students in independent inquiry, and a continuing program of research and engagement in mathematics. A Ph.D. by Fall 2013 is preferred and the degree will be required for tenure. All areas of pure and applied mathematics will be considered.
