Job Description Summary:
The College of Education at Armstrong Atlantic State University invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2013, pending budgetary approval.
Earned Doctorate in mathematics education or teacher education with minimum 18 graduate hours in mathematics or mathematics education, from an accredited institution.
Evidence of ability to work with school-based personnel.
Experience in professional collaborations.
Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity.
Minimum of 2 years K-12 classroom experience.
Prior university teaching experience.
Experience with NCATE or state accreditation process.
Essential Duties Summary :
Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses in general and mathematics education.
Experience or commitment to the use of technology.
Collaborative work with local school districts. Demonstrate a willingness and ability to incorporate diversity issues into the classroom.
Must value continued scholarship and service to the department, college, and university.
Additional duties include advising students and committee work.
