Job Description:
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the Parking and Transportation department. The Administrative Assistant 3 will provide administrative support to the Assistant Director of Parking and Transportation Services and other faculty and staff in Parking Services by coordinating events, researching information, maintaining schedules, preparing documents and correspondence, organizing meetings, maintaining calendars, handling adhoc requests and special projects, and other duties as assigned.

This position will perform general administrative duties for the Parking Services office, such as reception, search coordination, daily balance reconciliation, the complete parking permit process (from design, creation of ranges in parking system, allocation, sales, cancellation/refunds and audits) and other special projects using different kinds of software applications to develop forms, databases, etc.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.

This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
