Job Description:
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time Administrative Assistant 3 for the Internal Medicine department. This position will serve as the coordinator for the Residency Program Primary Care Track. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the general liaison with agencies; coordinating the resident selection process; onboarding new residents to include processing paperwork, obtaining licenses, and scheduling; conducting rotation coordination; tracking compliance, attendance, and completion for program evaluations; providing program support; and other duties as assigned.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to include occasional nights and weekends; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.

This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Experience Requirements:• This position requires having a valid driver’s license at time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
