Job Description:
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a “Resettlement & Placement Case Manager” for the Northern Nevada International Center's Refugee Resettlement Program.

The R&P Case Manager will be responsible for the initial intake of refugee families and providing core services in their first 30-90 days. These services include being placed in a safe home, providing cultural orientation and access to health and human services, ESL training, and education programs, with the goal of helping families become economically self-sufficient.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; though occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have valid Nevada driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in social services, health sciences, political science, international affairs or related fields.Fluency in one or more languages other than English is a plus.
